Chronic Atrophic Rhinitis is a long-standing inflammatory disease of the nasal mucosa, characterized by atrophy of the nasal mucosa, including the glands, epithelium, and bone. This condition leads to the formation of a thick, dry crust in the nose, which can cause a foul-smelling odor.
