Alex Guarnaschelli[edit]
Alex Guarnaschelli is an American chef, author, and television personality. She is best known for her appearances on the Food Network shows Iron Chef America, Chopped, and The Kitchen.
Early Life and Education[edit]
Guarnaschelli was born on June 20, 1972, in New York City, New York. She attended Barnard College and graduated with a degree in art history.
Career[edit]
Guarnaschelli began her culinary career in France, where she studied at La Varenne Culinary School in Burgundy. She then worked at several renowned restaurants in France, including Guy Savoy's eponymous restaurant in Paris.
After returning to the United States, Guarnaschelli worked at various restaurants in New York City, including Daniel, Patroon, and Butter. In 2003, she became the executive chef at Butter, a popular restaurant in New York City's East Village. Under her leadership, Butter received critical acclaim and became a hotspot for celebrities and food enthusiasts.
Guarnaschelli has also made a name for herself as a television personality. She has been a regular judge on the Food Network's Chopped since 2009 and has appeared as a competitor on Iron Chef America. In addition, she is a co-host on the Food Network's The Kitchen.

Guarnaschelli was previously married to Brandon Clark, with whom she has a daughter. They divorced in 2015.
