Fahrettin Koca is a prominent Turkish physician and politician. He is best known for his role as the Minister of Health in Turkey from 2018 to 2021.

Early Life and Education

Fahrettin Koca was born on November 2, 1965, in Sakarya, Turkey. He completed his primary and secondary education in his hometown before moving to Istanbul for his higher education. Koca graduated from Istanbul University's Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1988, one of the most prestigious medical schools in Turkey.

Career

After graduation, Koca started his career as a medical doctor. He specialized in radiology and worked in various hospitals in Istanbul. In 1997, he founded the Private Medipol Mega Hospital Complex, which is now one of the largest private healthcare providers in Turkey.

In 2018, Koca was appointed as the Minister of Health by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. During his tenure, he led the country's health response to the COVID-19 pandemic. His efforts in managing the health crisis were widely recognized both nationally and internationally.

Political Career

As a member of the Justice and Development Party (AKP), Koca has been actively involved in politics. He was appointed as the Minister of Health in July 2018, succeeding Ahmet Demircan. During his tenure, Koca implemented several health reforms and policies aimed at improving the healthcare system in Turkey.

Personal Life

Koca is married and has three children. He is known for his dedication to his profession and his commitment to improving healthcare in Turkey.
