Queen Elizabeth Hospital, London is a large hospital located in Woolwich, in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, London, England. It is managed by the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust.

History[edit]

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother in October 2001. The hospital was built to replace three older hospitals: St Nicholas Hospital, Brook General Hospital, and Memorial Hospital. The new hospital was designed to meet the changing needs of the local population and to provide a wider range of specialist services.

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital has over 500 beds and provides a wide range of medical services. These include emergency care, surgery, maternity services, and paediatrics. The hospital also has a helipad for emergency air ambulance services.
