Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is a fast-food restaurant chain specializing in chicken fingers, which was founded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1996. The company's namesake, a dog named Raising Cane, is a prominent feature of the company's marketing and branding.
History[edit]
Todd Graves and Craig Silvey founded Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers in 1996. The idea for the restaurant came from a business plan Graves wrote as an undergraduate at Louisiana State University. Despite receiving a low grade on the plan, Graves and Silvey pursued the concept, opening the first Raising Cane's location near the LSU campus.
Menu[edit]
The menu at Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is relatively simple, focusing primarily on chicken fingers served with Cane's Sauce, a proprietary blend of spices and seasonings. Other menu items include coleslaw, crinkle-cut fries, and Texas toast. The company prides itself on using fresh, never frozen chicken, and all menu items are made to order.
Expansion[edit]
Since its founding, Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers has expanded significantly. As of 2021, there are over 500 locations across the United States and around the world. The company's rapid growth has been attributed to its focus on quality ingredients, customer service, and community involvement.
Community Involvement[edit]
Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is known for its commitment to the communities in which it operates. The company regularly sponsors local events and fundraisers, and has a corporate giving program known as "Cane's in the Community".
