MiWadi is a popular brand of squash drink in Ireland. It is produced by Britvic, a leading soft drinks company in the UK and Ireland. The name "MiWadi" is an abbreviation of "Mineral Water Distributors".
History[edit]
MiWadi was first introduced in 1927 by Cantrell & Cochrane, an Irish soft drinks company. The brand was later acquired by Britvic in 1986. Over the years, MiWadi has become a household name in Ireland, known for its wide range of flavours and its commitment to reducing sugar content in its products.
Products[edit]
MiWadi offers a variety of flavours, including Orange, Apple, Blackcurrant, and Summer Fruits. The brand also has a '0% Sugar' range, which includes flavours like Orange & Peach, Apple & Pear, and Summer Fruits. In addition, MiWadi has a 'Mini' range, which are smaller, portable bottles of squash designed for on-the-go consumption.
Marketing and Sponsorship[edit]
MiWadi has been involved in various marketing campaigns and sponsorships over the years. The brand has sponsored the Irish Heart Foundation's 'Active School Awards' and has partnered with UNICEF for the 'World's Largest Lesson' campaign, which aims to educate children about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Health and Nutrition[edit]
MiWadi is committed to promoting healthy hydration. The brand has reduced the sugar content in its products by 65% since 2003. All MiWadi products are also free from artificial colours and flavours.
