ResMed is a San Diego, California-based medical equipment company. It primarily provides cloud-connectable medical devices for the treatment of sleep apnea (such as CPAP equipment and masks), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other respiratory conditions.

History[edit]

ResMed was established in 1989 by Peter Farrell in Australia. The company initially produced devices for treatment of obstructive sleep apnea that were distributed by Sullivan Medical. In 1990, ResMed incorporated in Delaware and in 1995, it was listed on NASDAQ.
