Felbinac

Felbinac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that is used topically in the form of a gel to relieve pain and inflammation associated with conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, sprains, and strains. It is also known by the brand names Traxam and Traxam Pain Relief Gel in the UK.

Mechanism of Action

Felbinac works by inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX), which is involved in the production of prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are chemicals in the body that cause pain and inflammation at sites of injury or damage. By reducing the production of these chemicals, felbinac can help to alleviate pain and reduce inflammation.
