TAG Heuer is a Swiss luxury watchmaker that designs, manufactures and markets watches and fashion accessories, as well as eyewear and mobile phones manufactured under license by other companies and carrying the TAG Heuer brand name.

History[edit]

TAG Heuer was founded in 1860 by Edouard Heuer in St-Imier, Switzerland. The company was purchased by TAG Group (Holdings) S.A. in 1985, when the Heuer brand became TAG Heuer. The name TAG Heuer combines the initials of "Techniques d'Avant Garde" and the founder's surname.

Products[edit]

TAG Heuer is known for its involvement in the sports watches and chronograph markets, with a reputation for being a leading innovator in these sectors. The brand has had strong affiliations with the Olympic Games, Formula 1 racing, and other sporting personalities. TAG Heuer's current watch collection features stylish sporting designs that feature advanced quartz and mechanical watch movements.

Notable Models[edit]

Some of the most notable models produced by TAG Heuer include the Carrera, Monaco, Formula 1, and the Autavia. The Carrera and the Monaco are particularly associated with automobile racing.

Sponsorships[edit]

TAG Heuer has been involved in a number of sporting sponsorships over the years. These include partnerships with Formula 1, the Premier League, the MLS, and the Chinese Basketball Association.
