Manny Pacquiao (Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao) is a Filipino professional boxer and politician. He is considered one of the greatest professional boxers of all time.

Early Life[edit]

Manny Pacquiao was born on December 17, 1978, in Kibawe, Bukidnon, Philippines. He is the fourth among six siblings and had a very humble beginning.

Boxing Career[edit]

Pacquiao started his professional boxing career when he was just 16 years old. He won his first major title, the World Boxing Council (WBC) flyweight title, in 1998. Throughout his career, he has won multiple world titles in different weight classes, making him one of the few boxers in history to do so.

Political Career[edit]

In addition to his boxing career, Pacquiao has also been involved in politics. He was elected as a member of the House of Representatives in the Philippines in 2010 and served two terms. In 2016, he was elected as a senator.

Personal Life[edit]

Pacquiao is married to Jinkee Jamora, and they have five children together. He is also known for his philanthropy, particularly in his home country of the Philippines.

Legacy[edit]

Pacquiao's success in boxing has made him a national hero in the Philippines. He is also considered a significant figure in the sport worldwide, with his fights drawing large audiences and generating substantial revenue.
