Weizmann Institute of Science

The Weizmann Institute of Science is a public research university in Rehovot, Israel, specializing in natural sciences, mathematics, and computer science. Founded in 1934 as the Daniel Sieff Institute, it was renamed in 1949 in honor of Chaim Weizmann, a chemist, statesman, and the first President of Israel, who contributed significantly to its establishment.
