Tekka Centre[edit]
Tekka Centre is a multi-use building complex located in Little India, Singapore. It is a landmark in the area, known for its vibrant food centre and wet market, and for its wide array of shops selling cultural and religious items.

Tekka Centre was originally named Kandang Kerbau Market, and has a history dating back to 1915. The current building was opened in 1982, and was renamed Tekka Centre in 2000. The name "Tekka" comes from the Hokkien dialect and means "foot of the bamboos".
Food Centre[edit]
The Food Centre at Tekka Centre is one of the most popular in Singapore. It offers a wide variety of local dishes, including Indian, Malay, Chinese and other Asian cuisines. Some of the most popular dishes include biryani, roti prata, and hokkien mee.
