History[edit]

CBC Radio was established in 1936 when the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation was created. The CBC, as a crown corporation, was established to provide a public broadcasting service in Canada. The radio division was the first to be established, with the television division coming later.

CBC Radio 3[edit]

CBC Radio 3 is a network that focuses on Canadian culture, including music, arts, and entertainment. It is primarily an internet radio station, although it does have a limited amount of broadcast time on CBC Radio 2.

It includes news and current affairs programs, such as The Current and As It Happens, as well as arts and culture programs like Q and Ideas.
