Tombstone Pizza is a popular brand of frozen pizza in the United States. It was founded in 1962 in Medford, Wisconsin by brothers Joseph "Pep" Simek and Ronald Simek. The name "Tombstone" was derived from the tavern owned by the Simek brothers, which was located across from a cemetery.

History[edit]

The Simek brothers started the Tombstone Pizza Company in the back room of their tavern. The pizzas were initially served to the tavern customers and were also sold to other bars in the area. The popularity of the pizzas led to the establishment of a dedicated pizza factory in 1962. The company was sold to Kraft Foods in 1986, which in turn sold it to Nestlé in 2010.

Products[edit]

Tombstone Pizza offers a variety of frozen pizzas, including original, brick oven style, and stuffed crust. The pizzas are available in several flavors, such as pepperoni, supreme, and sausage & mushroom. The company also offers limited edition pizzas from time to time.

Reception[edit]

Tombstone Pizza has received positive reviews for its taste and quality. It is often compared favorably to other frozen pizza brands. The brand's tagline, "What do you want on your Tombstone?" has become a well-known phrase in American pop culture.
