Wolfson Medical Center (Hebrew: מרכז רפואי וולפסון ) is a hospital located in Holon, Tel Aviv District, Israel. It was founded in 1980 and is affiliated with the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University. The medical center has 650 beds and is one of the largest hospitals in Israel.
History[edit]
Wolfson Medical Center was opened to the public in 1980 on the southern border of Tel Aviv. Over the years, it has expanded from 342 beds to its current capacity of 650 beds, with an additional 30 outpatient beds.
Services[edit]
The medical center's departments are affiliated with the Sackler School of Medicine, where they provide training to medical students during their internship years. The center employs over 100 doctors who also hold teaching positions at the university. Students from various countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, China, Italy, Ethiopia, Ghana, Ecuador, Bulgaria, Honduras, and Georgia, come to the center for their medical education. The center also publishes academic articles in local and international journals.
