Pathogen-associated molecular patterns Pathogens' molecules with specific sequence patterns that are recognized by pattern recognition receptors. They include microbial DNA, double-stranded RNA, surface glycoproteins, lipopolysaccharides, peptidoglycans, and lipoteichoic acid.
