Valley Forge National Historical Park is a United States National Historical Park located in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. The park commemorates the site of the Valley Forge encampment during the American Revolutionary War.
History[edit]
The area now known as Valley Forge was originally settled by the Lenape people. During the winter of 1777-1778, the Continental Army under the command of George Washington encamped at Valley Forge. This period was a turning point in the Revolutionary War, as the army emerged from the winter stronger and more unified.
Features[edit]
Valley Forge National Historical Park covers an area of approximately 3,500 acres and includes a variety of historical and natural features. Key sites within the park include:
- The Washington's Headquarters
- The Valley Forge Train Station

- The Muhlenberg Brigade Huts
