Royal Pharmaceutical Society
The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) is the professional body for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy students in the United Kingdom. The RPS was founded in 1841, originally as the Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain, and it received its royal charter in 1988. The society's key roles include promoting pharmacy as a profession, maintaining high standards for education, training and practice, and supporting the development of pharmaceutical science.

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society was established in 1841 as the Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain. The society was granted a royal charter in 1988, becoming the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (RPSGB). In 2010, the regulatory functions of the RPSGB were transferred to the newly formed General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), and the RPSGB became the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS), focusing on its role as a professional body.

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society has several key roles and responsibilities. These include:
