Duane Reade is a pharmacy chain located primarily in New York City. The company was founded in 1960 by Abraham Cohen, Eli Cohen, and Jack Cohen. The name "Duane Reade" comes from the company's first location at the intersection of Duane and Reade Streets in Manhattan.
