Journal of Medical Microbiology is a peer-reviewed medical journal that publishes original research and review articles covering medical, dental and veterinary microbiology, and infectious diseases, including bacteriology, virology, mycology and parasitology.
The journal is published by the Microbiology Society, and was established in 1968. The Editor-in-Chief is Norman Fry (Public Health England).
Scope
The Journal of Medical Microbiology covers a wide range of topics in medical microbiology and infectious diseases. These include bacteriology, virology, mycology and parasitology, as well as the role of these microorganisms in human health and disease. The journal also publishes articles on the pathogenesis, diagnosis, epidemiology, treatment and prevention of infectious diseases.

The journal is abstracted and indexed in PubMed, MEDLINE, Scopus, and the Science Citation Index. According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2019 impact factor of 2.267.
