The University of Kent is a public research university based in Canterbury, Kent, United Kingdom. It was founded in 1965 and is recognized for its strong emphasis on research and academic excellence.

The University of Kent was established in 1965, receiving its Royal Charter on 4 January 1965. The university's original campus was located in Canterbury, and it has since expanded to include additional campuses in Medway and Tonbridge.

Campuses[edit]

Canterbury Campus[edit]

The main campus is located in Canterbury, a historic city in Kent. The campus is set in 300 acres of parkland and is home to a variety of academic schools and departments. Notable buildings include the Templeman Library, Rutherford College, and the Marlowe Building.

Medway Campus[edit]

The Tonbridge campus offers part-time and short courses, primarily aimed at adult learners and professionals.
