American Horror Story: Asylum is the second season of the FX horror anthology television series American Horror Story, created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. The season premiered on October 17, 2012, and concluded on January 23, 2013. It consists of 13 episodes.
Plot[edit]
Set in 1964, American Horror Story: Asylum takes place in the fictional Briarcliff Manor, a mental institution located in Massachusetts. The institution is run by the stern and authoritative Sister Jude Martin, portrayed by Jessica Lange. The story follows the lives of the patients, doctors, and nuns who inhabit the asylum, exploring themes of sanity, horror, and the supernatural.
