Documentation[edit]

This template is used to indicate that a citation is needed for a statement in an article.

Usage[edit]

Place the template directly after the statement or claim that requires a citation.

Parameters[edit]

date: The month and year when the template is added (e.g.,

needed citation needed ^{(January 2025)}).

Example[edit]

The sky is blue. needed citation needed ^{(January 2025)}

Categories[edit]

If the date parameter is included, pages using this template will be added to a category for that month (e.g., Category:Articles with unsourced statements from January 2025).
