Kyrgyz State Medical Academy

Kyrgyz State Medical Academy (KSMA), established in 1939, is one of the oldest medical schools in Kyrgyzstan. It is located in the country's capital, Bishkek. The academy is recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and is considered one of the top medical institutions in Central Asia.

History

The Kyrgyz State Medical Academy was founded on 1 September 1939. It was initially named the Frunze State Medical Institute, after the city of Frunze (now Bishkek). The academy has since grown and developed, becoming a leading institution in medical education and research in Kyrgyzstan.
