Necker Nymph

Necker Nymph is an experimental submersible designed and built by Hawkes Ocean Technologies. Named after Necker Island, a property owned by Richard Branson, the Necker Nymph is a three-person submersible capable of diving to depths of up to 130 feet (40 meters).

Design and Features

The Necker Nymph is a DeepFlight Super Falcon model, a type of winged submersible designed to "fly" underwater. The submersible is powered by an electric motor and uses its wings to control its movement and direction. The Necker Nymph is unique in its open cockpit design, allowing its passengers to experience the underwater environment without the confines of a traditional submersible.

The Necker Nymph is equipped with a variety of safety features, including a buoyancy control system, an emergency ascent system, and a sonar system for navigation and obstacle avoidance. The submersible also has a communication system that allows the passengers to communicate with the surface.

Use and Operations
