GB Glace is a Swedish ice cream company. It is a subsidiary of the multinational food and beverage corporation, Unilever. GB Glace is the largest ice cream company in Sweden, and it has been in operation since 1942.
History[edit]
GB Glace was founded in 1942 by the brothers Gösta Kjellbom and Bror Kjellbom. The company's name, GB, stands for "Gösta Bror", the founders' first names. The company started with a small production facility in Gothenburg, Sweden, and it has grown to become the largest ice cream manufacturer in the country.
Products[edit]
GB Glace produces a wide range of ice cream products, including popsicles, ice cream cones, and ice cream bars. Some of the company's most popular products include the Piggelin, a pear-flavored popsicle, and the Sandwich, an ice cream sandwich made with soft chocolate chip cookies. GB Glace is also known for its seasonal and limited-edition flavors, which often reflect traditional Swedish tastes and ingredients.
Sustainability[edit]
As a subsidiary of Unilever, GB Glace is committed to the parent company's sustainability goals. This includes reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving water efficiency, and sourcing sustainable ingredients for its ice cream products. GB Glace also works to reduce waste in its production processes and packaging.
