List of HCPCS codes[edit]
The Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) is a set of health care procedure codes based on the American Medical Association's Current Procedural Terminology (CPT). The HCPCS is divided into two principal subsystems, referred to as Level I and Level II.
Level I[edit]
Level I of the HCPCS is comprised of CPT codes, which are numeric and maintained by the American Medical Association (AMA). These codes are used to identify medical services and procedures furnished by physicians and other health care professionals.
Level II[edit]
Level II of the HCPCS is a standardized coding system that is used primarily to identify products, supplies, and services not included in the CPT codes, such as ambulance services and durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies (DMEPOS) when used outside a physician's office.

Updates[edit]
The HCPCS codes are updated annually to reflect changes in medical technology and practice. The updates are published by CMS and are available to the public.
