Virginia Health Quality Center (VHQC) is a non-profit health quality consulting firm based in Richmond, Virginia. It was established in 1984 and is dedicated to improving health care quality and patient safety.

VHQC was founded in 1984 as a peer review organization under the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA). It was initially tasked with reviewing the quality of care provided to Medicare beneficiaries in Virginia. Over the years, VHQC has expanded its scope to include a wide range of health care quality improvement initiatives.
