Eighty-nine is the natural number following Eighty-eight and preceding Ninety. It is a prime number and has various mathematical and cultural significances.

Eighty-nine is the 24th prime number, following Eighty-seven and preceding Ninety-one. It is also a Fibonacci number, being the 11th number in the Fibonacci sequence, which starts with 0 and 1. The sequence is defined by the recurrence relation:
