Amazon Prime Video was launched on September 7, 2006, as Amazon Unbox in the United States. In 2008, it was rebranded as Amazon Video on Demand. In 2011, it was rebranded again as Amazon Instant Video. The service was finally rebranded as Amazon Prime Video in 2015.
