Components
The eye, the nervous system, and light interact and work together to produce the gift of vision as we see objects.

How vision works?
The following 7 steps help us see the objects that we visually see though our eyes.

# Step 1: The light passes through the cornea which is shaped like a dome and bends light to help the eye focus.

# Step 2. This light enters the eye through an opening called the pupil

Note that the iris controls how much light the pupil lets in.

# Step 3: Light passes through the lens

# Step 4: The lens works together with the cornea to focus light correctly on the retina.

# Step 5: When light hits the retina, special cells called photoreceptors turn the light into electrical signals.

# Step 6: These electrical signals travel from the retina through the optic nerve to the brain.

# Step 7: Then the brain turns the signals into the images you see.
