In 1996, Qiagen went public on the NASDAQ stock exchange. In 2004, the company acquired artus GmbH, a leading provider of PCR-based testing solutions, and in 2007, it acquired Digene Corporation, a leader in molecular diagnostic testing for HPV and other sexually transmitted infections. == Products and Services == Qiagen offers a broad range of products for molecular diagnostics, applied testing, academic and pharmaceutical research. These include sample preparation technologies, assay technologies, bioinformatics software and services, and automation systems.
