Miroslav Holub

Miroslav Holub (13 September 1923 – 14 July 1998) was a Czech poet and immunologist. Holub's work was heavily influenced by his experiences as an Immunologist, often featuring images from science and medicine. His work is known for its humor, irony, and accessibility.

Early Life and Education

Miroslav Holub was born on 13 September 1923 in Plzeň, at the time part of Czechoslovakia. He studied Biology at Charles University in Prague, and later specialized in Immunology.
