Early Life and Education

Lugavere was born and raised in New York City. He graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in film production and journalism.

Career

Lugavere began his career as a journalist for Current TV, an Emmy-winning international television network co-founded by former U.S. Vice President Al Gore. He later transitioned into health and science journalism, focusing on the intersection of nutrition and neuroscience.

In 2018, Lugavere published his first book, Genius Foods: Become Smarter, Happier, and More Productive While Protecting Your Brain for Life. The book, co-authored with Dr. Paul Grewal, explores the link between diet and brain health, and offers dietary advice for improving cognitive function and preventing neurological disease.

Lugavere has appeared on numerous television programs, including The Dr. Oz Show, The Rachael Ray Show, and Good Morning America. He has also been a guest on several popular health and wellness podcasts.

Personal Life

Lugavere's interest in brain health was sparked by his mother's diagnosis with a neurodegenerative disease. This personal experience has informed much of his work and advocacy in the field of nutritional neuroscience.
