Venclexta - (pronounced) (ven-KLEK chair) medicine used alone or with other medicines to treat certain adults with newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia and adults with chronic lymphocytic leukemia or small lymphocytic lymphoma. It is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer. Venclexta attaches to a protein called BCL2, which is found on some types of cancer cells. Blocking this protein can help kill cancer cells and make them more sensitive to anti-cancer drugs. Venclexta is a type of BCL2 inhibitor. Also called venetoclax
