Tafinlar - (pronounced) (TA-fin-lar) drug used alone or with trametinib to treat certain types of anaplastic thyroid cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, melanoma, and other solid tumors that have a specific mutation (change) in the BRAF gene. It is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer. Tafinlar blocks certain proteins made by the mutated BRAF gene, which may help prevent cancer cells from growing. It's a kind of kinase inhibitor. Also called dabrafenib mesylate
