Seneca Valley Virus-001 - (pronounced) (SEH-nih-kuh VA-lee VY-rus…) A virus being studied to treat neuroendocrine tumors and other cancers. Neuroendocrine tumors arise from cells that release hormones in response to a signal from the nervous system. The virus infects and destroys these tumor cells, but not normal cells. It's a type of oncolytic virus. Also called NTX-010 and SVV-001
