Quality Assurance

Quality Assurance (pronounced: kwɒlɪti əˈʃʊərəns) is a systematic process of determining whether products or services meet or exceed customer expectations. The term is derived from the English words "quality" and "assurance", which together imply a guarantee of a certain standard or level of quality.

Quality Assurance involves a set of activities for ensuring quality in the processes by which products are developed. It's a proactive process and aims to prevent defects by focusing on the process used to make the product. It's the responsibility of the entire team and should be performed throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
