Professor

Professor (/prəˈfɛsər/; from Latin profiteri, "to declare publicly") is an academic rank at universities and other post-secondary education and research institutions in most countries. Literally, professor derives from Latin as a "person who professes". The role of professor may be more public facing than other roles such as Researcher or Lecturer, and they are often experts in their fields.

Roles and Responsibilities

A Professor is responsible for teaching academic and vocational subjects to undergraduate and postgraduate students. They are experts in their field and the role often requires them to apply for grants and funding for their department or individual research.
