Ornithology

Ornithology (pronounced: /ˌɔːrnɪˈθɒlədʒi/) is the scientific study of birds. The word comes from the Greek words "ornis" which means bird and "logos" which means study.

Etymology

The term "Ornithology" is derived from the ancient Greek "ὄρνις" (ornis, "bird") and "-λογία" (-logia, "study").
