Morning

Morning (/ˈmɔːrnɪŋ/) is the period of time from sunrise to noon. There are several ways to define morning, but it is generally considered the period of time between dawn and noon. Morning precedes afternoon, evening, and night in the sequence of a day.

Etymology

The term "morning" originates from the Middle English word "morwening," which was formed from "morn" (meaning "morning") and the suffix "-ing," which was equivalent to the modern "-ing."
