Latte (/ˈlɑːteɪ/ or /ˈlæteɪ/) is a type of coffee drink made with espresso and hot milk. The term as used in English is a shortened form of the Italian caffè latte (/ˈkaffɛ ˈlatte/), caffelatte (/kaffeˈlatte/) or caffellatte (/kaffelˈlatte/), which means "milk coffee".
