Health administration or healthcare administration is the field relating to leadership, management, and administration of public health systems, health care systems, hospitals, and hospital networks.

Etymology

The term "health administration" is derived from the two English words "health", which comes from the Old English hǣlth (wholeness, being whole, sound or well), and "administration", which comes from the Latin administratio (management or administration).
