follitropin - (pronounced) (FAH-lih-TROH-pen) A hormone produced in the pituitary gland. In women, it acts on the ovaries to grow the follicles and eggs. In men, it acts on the testicles to produce sperm. Also called follicle stimulating hormone and FSH
