Pronunciation

Coal gasification: /koʊl ˌgæsɪfɪˈkeɪʃən/

Etymology

The term "coal gasification" comes from the word "coal", which is derived from the Old English "col", and "gasification", which is derived from the word "gasify". "Gasify" is a combination of "gas" and "-ify", a suffix used to form verbs expressing transformation into the kind of thing indicated by the base noun.

Process
