Career

Career (pronunciation: /kəˈrɪər/) is a term that refers to an individual's journey through learning, work, and other aspects of life. The term is derived from the Latin word carrus which means chariot.

A career is often composed of the jobs held, titles earned and work accomplished over a long period of time, rather than just referring to one's current job. Multiple careers are becoming more common as workers are more likely to change jobs and careers multiple times throughout their working life.
