Build (pronounced: /bɪld/) in the context of medicine, refers to the physical structure and proportion of a person's body. It is often used in clinical settings to describe a patient's general physical characteristics.

The term "build" originates from the Old English 'byldan', meaning 'construct a house', which over time has been used to describe the construction or structure of various things, including the human body.
