Adolescents (pronunciation: /ˌædəˈlɛs(ə)nts/) are individuals in the transitional stage of physical and psychological development that generally occurs during the period from puberty to legal adulthood (age of majority). The term is often associated with teenagers, though its definitions may vary slightly from one source to another.
